This document describes when and how SafeDomains refunds users, and the cases in which refunds are not provided.
1. refund conditions
A refund is possible only in the cases explicitly provided by clauses 2.5 and 2.6 of the terms of service, as well as in case of a service technical error that prevents domain registration after payment for more than 48 hours.
2. refund denial
The service reserves the right to deny a refund in the following cases:
- domain block under the acceptable use policy or clause 3.5 of the terms of service;
- the user does not have solid evidence of using the domain exclusively for legal purposes and the absence of rule violations in other disputed situations;
- other serious violations of the service rules by the user.
Refunds are not provided after purchasing and activating a subscription in the Telegram bot interface, or after its renewal. Subscription auto-renewal can be disabled in settings. The system warns the user a few days before the subscription expires.
3. refund calculation
The refund is calculated proportionally to the unused term of the domain by the formula:
price × (days remaining / 365)
4. refund method
The refund is sent to the same payment details from which payment was made. If those details are unavailable due to the user's fault (for example, lost or blocked), the refund will be made by a method convenient for the service.
Exception: refunds under clause 2.6 of the terms of service (Immortal category) are issued exclusively to the user's balance in the bot.
5. warranty funds
If a domain was purchased with funds received as a warranty refund, a repeated refund is not provided.
Balance received as a warranty refund cannot be withdrawn.
6. timing
Refund requests are reviewed within 24 hours of submission. Approved payouts are issued within 72 hours.
7. how to request
